Finland is one of north European country, where it's within the north pole. Famous for the north light or so-called Aurora.
By the time that I visited Finland, it was super cold. It's the first time that I have experienced minus 25 degree environment. I tried my best to use my hand as usual but I can't! It's hard to make body works as usual under 25 degrees. Hard to walk properly on a pile of snow. We visited Helsinki, capital of Finland, there are a few spectaculer churches, Uspenski Cathedral is one of them. The city is covered by heavy snow, branches, ferry wheel and heeps of visitors all over the world. We spent some time walking around the city, the port, and the market.
After a short trip in Helsinki, we traveled to Rovaniemen Kaupunki by 12 hours night train. The night train was super small, only two bund bed and a small shower room. Seeing the scene from the window, the world are covered by snow. WHITE is the only word to describe it. After a long journey, finally we arrived Rovaniemen, Santa's hometown. It's also a world of white, and it's a city inside the north pole. Taking some time visiting around the shop and city, we decided to dine in McDonald. The most north McDonald in the world, it doesn't taste any difference then any other McDonald to be honest but it's super expensive.
Since Finland is within North Pole there are more chance to see the North light, luckily we saw the north light outside of where we lived. Under minus 25 degrees, it's almost impossible to take your hands out for long. All I want is to stay indoor with the warm, the heater.
We also spent time visiting Santa's town, where Santa was born and lived. It's impressive to see the actual Santa and deer which only appeared in my imagination. We took picture with Santa and it cost 50eur to buy the picture, it's expensive but worth it.
"Finland-a county full of fantasy, imagination, cold, and romance. Be sure to prepare enough money for your trip"
